When I initially received an A2A for this question, I thought of doing a scene by scene review of the trailer. However, having read the many excellent reviews already written, I feel it would be like dissecting an already dissected lab rat. So, I'll just limit myself to pointing out the major points worked for me, and the major ones that still pose a question mark.
What Worked
> Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne: While I wasn't among the doubters who had written off Affleck when he was cast as Batman, I was also not amongst the minority who were throwing their support behind Affleck right from the beginning. I was slightly more convinced when I saw his mannerisms during the press interview scene in Gone Girl. And now, having seen the trailer, I am sold on Ben Affleck as Batman. He looks the part, and when he's speaking as Batman, it doesn't sound as if he's got something trying to crawl out of his throat.
> Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman: Whether as an ambassador of Themyscira or as the Amazon warrior, she looked the part and seemed to act the part as well. I still feel that Jamie Alexander might have been a better choice, but that is a 'What if' question now, and not to be pondered upon.
> Superman: Despite the presence and the hype around the appearance of Batman and Wonder Woman, this is still primarily a Superman movie. Going by the trailers, it seems that they have kept it so. And I hope that they have retained it throughout the movie. There's already a Batman movie in the works (Ben Affleck Is Your New 'Batman' Director), and Batman can get the spotlight there. This is a Superman movie, and I hope that it remains so.
> It looks like a comic book movie. As great as Nolan's movies were (the first two that is, the last one sucked), they can never truly be classified as comic book movies. He put too much of effort to bring about realism in them. But, with Snyder at the helm, things are looking slightly up. Even though, I am not a big fan of the dark overtones that he has applied to Superman, I still like the fact that we might get to see some old school comic book action.
> There's a Robin: Or at least, there's a nod towards a Robin. Which means we might get to see a Robin in the standalone Batman movies. And maybe, even an extended Bat-Family with Red Hood and Nightwing thrown in.
The Question Marks
> Jeremy Irons as Alfred: Not that he's not good. But, he does look too young compared to Bruce Wayne's age. Unless they plan on changing Alfred's role from a guardian/butler to an elder brother (which would be a sacrilege of course), it looks as if we will have a timeline messup.I feel he will do a good job as Alfred, just that he looks too young.
> Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor: Nothing to do with his hairdo. He'll probably lose it by the end of the movie, most likely due to Kryptonite radiation poisoning or something. It's just that I am still not convinced that he is as menacing as Luthor should be. I hope that I am proven wrong by the time the movie ends, but I am going to reserve my opinion till the movie on this one.
> As Deboleena Panja points out in her answer, we see a strangely emo Batman who is out to get Superman without first getting to know everything about him, and it is Alfred who is shown to be saying that he might be a good guy.
> THE Fight: This is one point which I might be wrong about since I am just going by what is shown in the trailer. No complaints about the fight sequences, Snyder knows what he is doing, and we will get a hell of a fight. My complaint is with the way that the fight takes place. Going by the sequences, Batman invites Superman for a fight and they just go for it. Now, in Dark Knight Returns (which is supposedly the inspiration for this fight), when Superman fights Batman, he is weakened by a nuclear blast, and then has to take a couple of heavy duty shells fired at him from the Bat-Mobile by Robin and eventually is weakend by the Kryptonite arrow fired by Green Arrow. It is after that, that he is truly beaten. In the trailer, even allowing for the fact that he is somehow hit with a Kryptonite blast just before Batman drives him through the roof, we have to consider a fact that it is quite probable that Batman is facing a fully fit Superman.
So, on one side we have an aging vigilante who has quite possibly come back from retirement and on the other we have the most powerful man on the Earth, who has recently taken on three Kryptonians and leveled a city single-handedly. I wouldn't vote for the aging vigilante even it is Batman who's had all the 'prep-time' in the world.
> Too many sub-plots. Despite the well-fleshed out possible plot provided by Vedant Das Swain, I feel as if there might by too many sub-plots involved and it might end up ruining the movie. It's almost as if DC is desperate to catchup with Marvel in just one movie.
Most of the other things are pointed out by the other contributers here. The scenes with Joker's writing on Robin's suit and the newsletter clipping (more likely to be from Luthor than Joker) are most probably just the precursors to Bruce Wayne taking up the cape and the cowl again, and won't play that big a part eventually.
I will still watch the movie of course. And keep my fingers crossed that I am proven wrong on the negative points.
P.S.: As much as I am looking forward to this movie, I am even more excited for Suicide Squad. Can't wait for that trailer to come out (the one released at San Diego ComicCon is very blurry since it was shot by visitors on cell camera).
